IT Services maintains a collection of equipment that students, faculty and staff may borrow for use on specific technology projects.  We have projectors, digital still cameras, digital video cameras, and Windows and Mac OS laptop computers.

Contact Jamie Ross (rossja@wabash.edu, x6302) in Baxter 29 to reserve equipment.  In most cases, you can borrow equipment for up to two weeks, though at certain times during the year the maximum loan period may be shorter.  Students are welcome to use equipment for class projects or personal needs, but in either case need a faculty sponsor prior to picking up equipment.

Please note that checkout equipment is no longer available in the Media Center; all equipment checkout is handled by Jamie Ross in Baxter Hall.

With advanced notice, faculty can reserve equipment for class trips or projects.  Please provide as much advanced notice as possible so that we can make sure sufficient quantity is on hand to meet your class needs.

Below is a list of equipment available for check-out:

  • Dell laptop computers
  • MacOS laptop computers
  • Computer data projectors -- Dell 3400 and Sharp PG-C45X
  • Digital still cameras -- Nikon 995 (3.1 megapixel), Canon GL-6 (7.1 megapixel), Canon GL-7 (10 megapixel)
  • Digital video cameras -- Canon GL-2, Canon ZR850 mini-DV camcorder
  • Apple iPod (30Gb) with microphone attachment, for audio recording (interviews, etc.)
