John Weitz enters his first season as the Little Giants' head coach after six years as an assistant coach with Division III powerhouse Johns Hopkins University.

Weitz helped the Blue Jays men’s program to a sixth-place finish at the 2007 NCAA National Championship meet. It was the 36th time in the last 37 seasons Johns Hopkins has finished in the top ten at nationals. In addition to working extensively with the men’s and women’s distance swimmers at Johns Hopkins, Weitz has been responsible for recruiting and administration of the women’s team since 2004.

He also managed the Johns Hopkins aquatic facility as part of his day-to-day duties.

Weitz served as an assistant coach at Seton Hall University from 1993-1995 after graduating from Montclair State. He also worked as a summer assistant for three years at the University of Texas under 1992 Olympic Head Coach Eddie Reese.

Weitz became the head coach and director of aquatics at the Somerset Hills YMCA in Basking Ridge, New Jersey in 1995. He worked with a 250-member swim team, developing and implementing a complete program for the team in addition to supervising 30 full- and part-time staff members before taking the assistant coaching position at Johns Hopkins.

Kyle Dunaway is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Wabash swimming team after an outstanding career at Wittenberg University. A 2004 graduate, Dunaway was a four-year letterman and two-year captain of the Tigers' swimming team. He was a five-time North Coast Athletic Conference semi-finalist, and set the Wittenberg school record in the 400 individual medley.

Dunaway was selected by Wittenberg to attend the 2003 NCAA Leadership Conference. He was one of only 300 athletes from across all NCAA divisions to be accepted to the Conference. From those meetings he helped establish an action plan for Wittenberg focused on connecting the University with the local youth. As vice-president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee he helped provide a voice for Tiger student-athletes on the Wittenberg campus.

He served as the head coach at the Trumball Country Club in Warren, Ohio, working with 60 swimmers between the ages of 6-18 in the 12-team Youngstown-area league. While swimming at Wittenberg, he also assisted in the recruiting and day-to-day administrative needs of the Tiger program, including the development of fundraising for the team's annual training trip.

In addition to his duties as assistant swimming coach at Wabash, Dunaway will also serve as an intern in the Schroeder Career Center. He resides in Crawfordsville.
