Tracksters on the Bubble
Three Wabash College track and field athletes are sitting on the bubble for the Division III Indoor National Championship meet. Senior Geoff Lambert (800 meters), sophomore Emmanuel Aouad (55-meter hurdles) and freshman Rob Smallman (pole vault) all have a chance to reach the March 14-15 meet at Ohio Northern University in Ada, Ohio.

While his team will graduate its two leading scorers and top assist man from this season, Wabash College men’s basketball coach Mac Petty is confident his Little Giants can next year have as successful a campaign as this season.

Zimmer, Simkus, Brock Named to All-NCAC Team
Andrew Zimmer earned First Team All-North Coast Athletic Conference honors for the second consecutive season, while fellow senior Gary Simkus earned Second Team honors. Sophomore Aaron Brock was named to the Honorable Mention team.

Wabash Doubles' Team Scores Win in California
Wabash may have lost 8-1 to 12th-ranked University of Mary Washington to open its 2008 spring break trip in California, but the doubles pairing of Ryan Tennison and Luke Robbins managed to score an 8-4 win over the regionally-ranked duo from the Eagles.

Little Giants Post 13 Runs in Win at Schreiner
Wabash cranked out 13 runs on 18 hits, including a grand slam by Shaun Rico, to hand Schreiner University a 13-5 loss Tuesday afternoon in Kerrville, Texas. Freshman Brian Van Duyn picked up his first career victory by holding the Mountaineers to four hits over five innings.

Little Giants Split Opening Spring Break Games
Junior Mike Korfhagen tossed a five-hitter while the Wabash bats exploded for seven runs in the nightcap of Sunday's baseball doubleheader at the University of Dallas. The Little Giants won game two 7-1 after losing 2-1 in the bottom of the seventh in the first game of the week-long spring break trip.

Twenty-one Wabash College student-athletes (20 members of the football team and one member of the soccer team) are spending spring break in Botswana as part of a missions trip. The 21 members will be providing updates throughout the week on a daily blog.

Trio Posts National Qualifying Marks at NCAC Meet
Emmanuel Aouad, Rob Smallman, and Geoff Lambert continued their drive toward the NCAA Division III Indoor National Championship meet by posting provisional qualifying marks at Saturday's North Coast Athletic Conference Championships. The Little Giants finished fourth out of ten teams at the annual meet.
