Red Pack Looks For Long Distance Goals in 2008
Last year's Wabash cross country team started strong, but came up short of finishing in the top-two in the North Coast Athletic Conference. This year the Little Giants will try to improve week by week, targeting their biggest meets at the end of the season for their best performance.

Alumni Swim Meet Set for October 4
Former members of the Wabash College swimming and diving team will gather once again for an alumni meet on Saturday, October 4 as part of the weekend Homecoming events. The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. with a 9:30 a.m. warm-up session.

Wabash Football Senses Something Special
Before Wabash College's opening football practice, Darryl Kennon, the Little Giants' senior defensive lineman, took in the moment. His eyes told him how committed the Little Giants stayed to their first summer football theme - "Up The Ante". His ears listened as players yelled, whooped and teased each other about the new head coach Erik Raeburn's upcoming drills. Even his nose could sniff out something different Tuesday afternoon.

Football Team Begins Practices
Junior quarterback Matt Hudson believes this year’s Little Giants aren’t going to be complacent with finishing in the top eight in the country. He said this year’s team is committed to having another successful season, and that journey started Tuesday when the Little Giants had their first fall practice under first-year coach Erik Raeburn.

Freshmen Student-Athletes Report
The first of a class of over 250 freshmen began reporting to the Wabash College campus over the weekend. Thirty soccer and 127 football players got the 2008-2009 school year underway by completing paperwork and testing for the upcoming fall sport season.

Wabash Football Youth Clinic Set for September 19
Wabash College's football team will hold its sixth-annual Youth Day Football Clinic next month. The free clinic will run from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at Byron P. Hollett Little Giant Stadium.

Wabash Football Team Exhibits Its Plane Strength
This past weekend, the Wabash College senior guard Erik Shaver, along with 18 other Little Giants football teammates, moved a 147,000-plane Boeing 727 plane 20 feet in less than five seconds. The plane pull was just one of the events in the Special Olympics Indiana FedEx Plane Pull Challenge in Indianapolis.

The coaches have predicted an end to the Wabash football team's run of consecutive North Coast Athletic Conference championships while the media members put the Little Giants even with the Wittenberg Tigers in the chase for the title.
