Wabash earned its third consecutive title in the Giant-Engineer Match Play Golf Classic Thursday afternoon with an 11-5 victory over Rose-Hulman at the Hulman Links Golf Course in Terre Haute.

Senior Sam Russell scored a 2&1 victory in singles play and joined Drew Palmer to win their two-man contest 4&2. Palmer won his singles match 3&2. Jordan Koch won 2&1, while Michael Piggins won 2-up. Koch and Piggins also won their two-man match 1-up.

Ben Foster and Terry Sullivan combined for a 4&2 victory. Foster cruised to a 5&4 win in singles play, while Sullivan was a 3&2 singles winner. Luke Moton and Mack Lopp picked up a 2&1 win, while Moton had no trouble in his singles match by scoring a 7&5 victory. Moton had scored a 67 with three holes left to play when darkness and weather ended his round.

Wabash will be back in action this weekend, playing in the DePauw Fall Golf Classic at Deer Creek Golf Course in Clayton, Indiana.
