Wabash scored in the first three minutes of Wednesday's home match against Hanover to take complete control from the outset before eventually claiming a 3-0 victory. (View photos from the Wabash win here.)

Mark Babcock deflected a corner kick by Ian Kelly into the net with 2:47 gone by in the match to put the Little Giants up on the scoreboard. Wabash would score on another set piece in the 40th minute. David Rosborough lifted a corner kick in front of the net where Jon Funston headed it home for the second goal of the match. Phil Rosborough, David's younger brother, added his second goal of the season in the closing minutes of the match to provide the final margin.

While the Little Giants produced 29 shots and a season-high 16 shots on goal, the Wabash defense kept goalkeeper Matt Paul from any real tests for the entire match. Hanover managed only two shots over 90 minutes with none of those attempts heading toward the net. Both of the Panthers' attempts came in the opening period, with Wabash shutting down any thoughts of a Hanover (1-7) second half rally.

Wabash improved to 5-4-1 with the victory. The Little Giants return to action Saturday with a North Coast Athletic Conference match at Kenyon.
