Late-season Run Gets Lambert Back to Nationals
In his final chance to qualify for nationals in the 800-meter run, Lambert ran a 1:51.23 at last Friday’s Gregory Invitational at North Central College. His time was just under the automatic qualifying time of 1:51.30, giving Lambert a spot in his sixth national race during his collegiate career.

Senior Geoff Lambert completed the career sweep in the 800-meter run, grabbing his fourth consecutive conference title at the 2008 North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Outdoor Trackand Field Championships. The win earned him Middle Distance/Distance Runner of the Year honors and helped Wabash finish third in the final team standings.

Two freshman pole vaulters catapulted the Wabash track and field team to third place after the first day at the 2008 North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Championship Meet. Rob Trahin earned All-Conference honors with a first place finish while teammate Rob Smallman grabbed second.

Aouad Earns NCAC Weekly Honor
Sophomore Emmanuel Aouad has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Sprinter/Hurdler of the Week. The Terre Haute, Indiana product ran the fastest time of the season for an NCAC athlete in the 400-meter intermediate hurdles last Friday to earn the award.

Indoor Track Named in Honor of Johnson
Nearly 400 people gathered Saturday night to pay tribute to long-time track and field and cross country coach Rob Johnson at a retirement dinner. The evening concluded when the College named the indoor track in Knowling Fieldhouse in Johnson's honor. Click here to see photos from the evening.

Smallman Hits NCAA Provisional Mark
Freshman pole vaulter Rob Smallman cleared 4.71 meters Friday night at the Rose-Hulman Twilight Meet to eclipse the NCAA provisional qualifying height of 4.70 while winning the event. Smallman posted one of 17 top-five performances by Wabash athletes at the meet.

Lambert Wins 800, Johnson Named Co-Coach of the Year at 2008 Indiana Intercollegiates
Senior Geoff Lambert battled tough weather conditions Friday night and a competitive field in Saturday's finals to win the 800-meter run at the 2008 Indiana Intercollegiate Championships. Retiring head coach Rob Johnson was named the Co-Coach of the Year at the meet while his Wabash team finished 10th out 19 teams at the two-day meet with 24 total points.
