Senior Adam Van Zee and sophomore Jay Horrey captured the Wabash single season record for doubles' victories Saturday afternoon with an 8-2 win over Ohio Weselyan, but could not help the Little Giant team in a 6-3 loss to the host Battling Bishops. Wabash dropped a 7-2 decision against Ohio Dominican in the second match Saturday in Delaware, Ohio.

The duo picked up their 21st doubles win of the year to pass the mark of 20 victories set by John Lowe '73 and John Garber '73 their senior year.

Horrey picked up the only singles victory for the Little Giants against North Coast Athletic Conference foe OWU. He scored a three-set 6-1, 1-6, 6-1 win at first singles. Sean Clerget and Adrian Starnes took a 9-7 victory at number two doubles.

Clerget was the only singles winner against Ohio Dominican, scoring a straight sets 6-2, 6-1 win at sixth singles. The victory gives Clerget an overall record of 17-9 in singles play this season and mark of 14-5 at number six singles. Clerget and Starnes also picked up an 8-5 win in doubles action.

Wabash is 12-12 for the season. The Little Giants will participate in the upcoming NCAC Tennis Tournament next weekend at Granville, Ohio. Denison University will serve as the tournament host.
