Pynenberg, Russell Earn Lindy's Preseason Honors
Senior co-captains Adrian Pynenberg and Mike Russell have been named preseason All-Americans by Lindy's College Football 2007 Preview. The national magazine has ranked the Little Giants 16th in its annual publication.

Wabash-DePauw Ink Three-Year TV Deal
The Monon Bell Classic, one of America’s oldest and richest college football rivalries, will be nationally telecast on HDNet for the next three years. The three-year contract calls for HDNet, which has televised the 2003 and 2006 games, to broadcast the November 10, 2007 contest from Blackstock Stadium in Greencastle, as well as the 2008 and 2009 battles for the Bell.

Two students’ dreams are now realized by an NCAA Choices Alcohol Education grant. The grant was awarded Wabash College and — coupled with matching campus funds — will be used for peer education about alcohol use.

Former Wabash football coach Greg Carlson will take the reigns of the new St. Scholastica football program. Carlson was hired as the Division III schools first football coach. The program will begin play in 2008.

Wabash alumnus Pete Metzelaars ’82 will finally get his ring. After playing in four Super Bowls as a tight end with the Buffalo Bills, each time coming up short, Metzelaars celebrated with 54,000 Indianapolis Colts fans Monday after the team captured Super Bowl XLI in Miami.
