Two-Time Olympian Works With Little Giant Throwers
Wabash Track and Field Coach Rob Johnson’s time as a 2000 assistant coach for the U.S. Olympic team is paying dividends for his young track athletes. Tom Pukstys, a 1992 and 96 member of the U.S. Olympic team, worked Friday with four freshmen javelin throwers.

Track Team Takes Millikin Title
Fourteen top-three finishes by members of the Wabash track and field led the Little Giants to first place at Saturday’s 2005 Millikin Track and Field Classic. Wabash finished with 177 points, 20 more than second place Illinois Wesleyan University.

Lambert Earns NCAC Award With First Place Finish at Little State
Wabash freshman Geoff Lambert has been named the North Coast Athletic Conference Men’s Track and Field Middle Distance/Distance Runner of the Week after winning the 800-meter run at the 2005 Indiana Little State Meet, held Friday and Saturday at IUPUI. Lambert won the race with a time of 1:53.22, setting the Wabash freshman record while reaching the NCAA “B” cut qualifying mark for the National Championship meet.
