Senior quarterback Matt Hudson and sophomore cross country runner Kevin McCarthy have been recognized by the North Coast Athletic Conference for their achievements over the weekend. Hudson received the NCAC Offensive Football Player of the Week Award, while McCarthy was presented the Men's Cross Country Runner of the Week Award.

Hudson (left) won the football award after throwing for 335 yards and three TDs in the Little Giants' 31-12 win over Washington University - St. Louis Saturday afternoon. His 335-yard effort made him the fourth Wabash player to throw for more than 7,000 career passing yards. Hudson has thrown for 7,321 yards, placing him third in Wabash history and fourth on the NCAC all-time passing lists. Hudson also ran for 64 yards in the contest, guiding the Little Giants to a 5-0 record.

McCarthy (right) was recognized after winning the Gibson Family Invitational Saturday. He won the college division race with a season-best time of 25:42, 17 seconds ahead of the second place runner from Heidelberg. McCarthy's time was the fastest of the day by any runner, posting a better time than Corey Culbertson of Shawnee State (25:52) and Charles White of Purdue (25:56) in the university division race.

Russell continued his incredible senior season Saturday, posting his first collegiate hole-in-one at the DePauw Small College Golf Classic. Russell aced the 14th hole with a seven-iron shot at the Deer Creek Golf Club.

Russell finished with a 78 after picking up his ace on the 167-yard par-3 hole. He scored a 159 (78-81) over the two days of the tournament to finish tied for 34th. Russell suffered serious injuries during the summer after falling nearly 300 feet while climbing Teewinot Mountain in Wyoming.
