Sophomore Wes Smith and juniors Chase Haltom and Aaron Brock have been named to the 2009 All-North Coast Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Team. Smith received First Team honors, while Haltom and Brock both earned places on the Honorable Mention team.

Smith (right) led the Little Giants with a 16.8 points-per-game average, fifth-best among NCAC players. He also led the Wabash team in rebounding (6.1 rpg), assists (2.0 apg), and blocked shots (28). His 57 steals were not only tops among Wabash players, but were the fourth-most in a season for a Wabash player. Smith set the single-season mark as a freshman with 68. He moved into fifth in steals with 125 on the Wabash all-time list. He scored a total of 454 points this season, giving him 759 points for his career. Smith scored a career-high 41 points against Hanover, and topped 30 points in a game on two other occasions with 31 versus Franklin and Earlham. His 27-point effort in the NCAC Tournament semifinal game helped Wabash defeat Allegheny and move into the league championship game. Smith tallied 18 points, eight rebounds, three blocks, and two steals in a losing effort against Wooster in the title game. He broke the conference's record for total field goals in the tournament, hitting 28 field goals to break the mark of 27 set by Byron Beard of Oberlin in 1986.

Haltom (left) earned his first All-Conference honors by scoring 11.9 points a game, the 15th-best scoring average for NCAC players. He led Wabash with 71 three-pointers, third-most by an NCAC player and fifth-most by a Little Giant player in a single season. Haltom moved to third on the Wabash all-time three-point field goal list with 171 and is currently ninth in career three-point shooting percentage at .403. Haltom scored 321 points this year and has a total of 811 through three seasons at Wabash. 

Brock (right) earned Honorable Mention All-NCAC honors for the second consecutive season despite missing seven of the last nine games of the year due to elbow injuries. He averaged 13.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. Brock scored 20-or-more points in four games, including a three-game stretch that featured a season-high 25 points against Wittenberg. He posted four double-doubles for the year. Brock grabbed a season-high 13 rebounds at DePauw. He has scored 836 points and tallied 371 rebounds through three seasons at Wabash.

Wabash finished the season with a record of 14-13. The sixth seed entering the NCAC Tournament, the Little Giants knocked off third-seeded Hiram and seventh-seeded Allegheny before falling to top-seeded Wooster in the championship game. Wabash reached the title game for the second consecutive season.
