Little Giants Drop Two To Denison In Sunday Baseball Action
Wabash concluded the North Coast Athletic Conference portion of its 2005 baseball season Sunday at Denison University. The Big Red swept the doubleheader from the Little Giants, taking a 4-3 victory in game before completing the series sweep with a 9-7 victory in the nightcap.

Game one got off to a rough start for the Wabash baseball team at Denison University Saturday afternoon on the way to a two-game sweep by the Big Red. The Little Giants lost 8-0 in game one before rallying for four runs in the top of the seventh inning in game two, only to lose 7-6.

Wabash came into Saturday’s North Coast Athletic Conference baseball doubleheader against Ohio Wesleyan University with a chance to put some distance between itself and the Battling Bishops in the Western Division standings. Instead it was OWU closing the gap with a pair of wins – an 8-4 eight-inning win in game one and a 9-5 decision in game two.
