"Wabash provides for its students an unusually informal, egalitarian, and participatory environment which encourages young men to adopt a life of intellectual and creative growth, self-awareness, and physical activity."
Fitness
The Allen Athletics and Recreation Center shows the Wabash dedication to lifetime fitness and wellness by providing the 6,700-square-foot Class of 1952 Fitness Center that rivals any facility in Division III. A combination of Cybex and Hammer Strength equipment, as well as free weights and aerobic fitness equipment, allows users to tailor a workout to their specific needs.

Intramurals
At Wabash, we take intramural sports seriously! Many competitors were multiple letter winners at their high schools, and even the faculty teams battle for championships in 24 intramural sports. In fact, Wabash is ranked second nationally in Princeton Review's category "Everyone Plays Intramural Sports" and is ranked fourth nationally in the college guide's "Jock Schools" category.
Wabash's living units compete in both championship and round robin match-ups in 24 intramural sports that include: badminton, basketball, bowling, canoeing, cycling, cross country, disk golf, golf, handball, horseshoes, indoor track and field, pocket billiards, racquetball, soccer, softball, swimming, table tennis, tennis, touch football, track and field, volleyball, wallyball, weightlifting, and wrestling.
