Wabash President Pat White is in his seventh and final year as the College's 15th president. In completing a strategic plan, he has secured significant grant funding to establish Asian Studies and retention programs; led the Challenge of Excellence campaign to a successful conclusion a year ahead of schedule and $8 million over goal; negotiated new dual degree programs in engineering with Purdue and accounting with the Kelley School of Business; and worked to bring a new biochemistry major to the College.
All of those accomplishments aside, Dr. White is a president for the students of Wabash. He's a big sports fan, an avid theater-goer, an honorary member of the Glee Club and Sphinx Club, and he almost never misses a student recital, presentation, or art opening. Everything President White does for Wabash he does for its students.
He and his wife, Chris, are also active in the community with Main Street, economic development, and they helped establish a free healthcare clinic.
