Professor of Art Greg Huebner H’77 delivered the 29th Annual LaFollette Lecture, "Life at a Half Bubble Off Plumb: Rethinking Truth, Beauty, and Jumbo Shrimp," on Friday, October 10.

LaFollette Distinguished Professor of the Humanities Bill Placher ’70 returned from his sabbatical as Writer-in-Residence at the Collegeville Institute for Ecumenical and Cultural Research at St. John's University in Minnesota to open the program.

Last year's LaFollette Lecturer, Professor of Mathematics J.D. Phillips, introduced Professor Huebner.

Professor Emeritus of Speech Vic Powell H’55 congratulates Huebner on his lecture but corrects the artist regarding Vic's age. Huebner declared the much-admired speech professor, former dean, and one-time acting president of the College one of "my heroes," but incorrectly estimated his age as "106."
