Siena, Day 5
Our day started with a drive deep into Tuscany and a visit to a 12th Century Monstary at Sant' Antimo. We heard a Latin Gregorian Chant Mass.

After the Mass, Professor Cook pointed out interesting fact about the ancient church.
Cook called this one of the most beautiful places in the world. Here he takes in the countryside view.
Next up was a trip to the walled, hilltop city of Montalcino. We visited the city museum and explored town.
After walking town the group had another Tuscan experience - a wine tasting of Rosso Montalcino and Brunello wines at the city's castle. Here, our German hostess pours some Brunello.
After the wine tasting, our Wabash crew laid out a fabulous picnic near the city edge. Jerry Boyer and his wife fill up their plates.
We had tremendous panoramic views during lunch.
Just to our left during lunch time was a pretty good view of the Montalcino Castle.
Atop the castle walls is a photographer's dream.
... and a great place for a brother (Stanley) to shoot his brother (Gordon) and wife!
Those wall provide a pretty great view of the town as well.
Then if you climb one of the towers open to visitor the views get even better.
