Vic Powell had 'em in stitches with the telling of the infamous story of "The Statue of Lincoln and his Dog;" but alumni stories had him laughing pretty hard, too.

This was Professor Emeritus of Biology Aus Brooks' first time on the "Reminiscences" panel, but he seemed to enjoy it almost as much as alumni enjoyed having him there.

Although they didn't see eye-to-eye on most things political, Vic Powell and Ed McLean remained colleagial during their teaching years at Wabash, often enjoying debates with one another in the Scarlett Inn. Here, Ed recalls the one time he got the best of Vic in an argument!

The panel's tales inspired a great response of stories from alumni, including Bob Allen ’57, who told of one professor's waking a sleeping class with the dropping of a board from above his head.
