Evan Watson's Homecoming (12-18-09)

Singer-songwriter Evan Watson came back to Crawfordsville last Friday to perform a benefit concert for the Friends of Sugar Creek. Watson, who is the son of Dwight and Jamie Watson, is touring in support of his album, A Town Called Blue. Watson thrilled a crowd of about 200 with his bluesy voice and sure-handed guitar work.

Crawfordsville native Evan Watson played Salter Hall at Wabash College — he's also played music festivals, clubs, and even in Madison Square Garden.

Evan Watson opened his performance with a song called "Indiana," which he said New Yorkers don't get — but that his Wabash audience could appreciate. The track is included on Watson's CD, A Town Called Blue.
