Internationally acclaimed woodcarver Lamidi Fakeye greets members of the College's Wamidan world music ensemble as they prepare to play for the opening of Fakeye's exhibit in the Fine Arts Center. A highlight of the opening—the donation of a set of slit drums made by the Ibibio people of Nigeria and given to Wamidan by Fred Morton, African historian and father-in-law of the College's art historian, Assistant Professor of Art Elizabeth Morton. |
