Varsity

The Varsity Team, doing what they do best!

Clockwise Starting at 12 o'clock : Paul (Cox), Brian (Bow), Mark (#3), Andrew (Stroke), Eric (#2).

It was a very nice day the Saturday of the Eagle - Sunny and not too windy - perfect conditions. The varsity pulled a very good race, placing 5th overall but missing 4th by only one second. Although the time was not quite as fast as last year, the team was less experienced. That said, it was a technically flawless race and a victory for Wabash Crew.

Novice

The Novice Crew (l-R): Sean (Cox), Tim (Bow), Roger (#3), Nick (#5), Nathan (#6), Paul (#2), Phil (#4), Andrew (Stroke), MAx (#7).

The Novice team had a tough first race. The old boat just couldn't handle all of the power and heart that they were putting into each stroke. Three seats broke and they kept on rowing. When the third went, the entire boat lurched from an enormous port side crap. The team gutted it out though and finished the race as winners. And which is more, they gained valuable experience for next year so they can come back and win!

Left - Docking, quickly! Right - faffing about after the race - IRC in the background.

Shef checking the old man twice. Don't know how much it helped really.

Above and below: Some of the 'characters' on the team and our most favorite place - the college van!

Buds. Below - the Open race that Tim (#2), Andrew (#5), and Phil (#7) rowed to a near medal...along with Butler and IRC. Yes, they did pass that boat.
