St. Joseph Valley Golf Outing Draws Good Group

July 20, 2005.  The 5th Annual Wabash/DePauw Alumni Golf Outing, sponsored by the St. Joseph Valley Association of Wabash Men, drew a good crowd again this year.  For the first since its inception, the outing changed locations – this time using the Juday Creek Golf course in Granger, Indiana.

As you can see in the accompanying photo album, a huge thunderstorm joined the outing on the back nine.  However, the golf resumed after only a short delay.

The team of Fred Haase ’71, David Haase, John Reidy ’06, and Al Clark won the outing.  Other honors were awarded to the team of David Horvath ’90, Peter Horvath ’92, George Horvath (proud father), and Tim Durham.  This team garnered the "most opportunity for improvement" trophy.

Many thanks go to Peter Horvath ’92, the St. Joseph Valley Association president, and especially to Roger Senkbeil ’68 and his lovely wife Carol for putting the outing together.  Finally, thanks as well to Dick Barger ’55 who helped with registration.
