More than 200 alumni and their spouses returned to campus for the Big Bash Banquet, the centerpiece of day one of the College's new reunion weekend.

The evening began with a cocktail reception and later dinner. At the end of a wonderful meal, President Ford H’03and Alumni Director Tom Runge ’71 presented 1954 Class Agent Bob Johnson with his 50th reunion medallion. Johnson then read the names of everyone of his classmates who returned to campus, while President Ford gave each man his medallion.

The fun was just getting started. Johnson and 1954 Class Gift Chairman John Proffitt then presented Ford with his own gift: a class gift check of $3.5 million for the Campaign for Leadership.

The evening ended with alumni and their spouses dancing to the sounds of the Windy City Swing Band.
