The St. Joseph Valley Association of Wabash Men (in the South Bend/Mishawaka area) volunteered their time on Saturday, October 5, at the Families First Center in South Bend. The Families First Center has been in operation since 1991 and is dedicated to providing children in foster care (usually due to neglect or abuse) with a safe, supervised and home-like setting in which they can regularly meet with their parents.
This year, we replaced boards and power-washed the facility's wheelchair ramp, removed weeds, and painted the interior of some office space.
Those who volunteered and are pictured in the attached photo are:
Front Row - Tyler Piazza (age 15), Trevor Piazza (age 14), George Horvath (H '00)
Back Row - Doug Piazza ('89), Peter Trybula ('77), John Mynesberge ('72), Peter Horvath ('92), Paul Tipps ('74)
