Josh is an attending pediatric cardiologist at Lurie Children’s Hospital in Chicago and an assistant professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. His academic interests include medical education, inpatient care, and non-invasive cardiac imaging, particularly the application of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to pediatric heart disease. He has been a principal architect in the adoption of an enterprise imaging solution for the hospital and outpatient clinics. His research goal is to expand the use of cardiac MRI to decrease the need for invasive procedures. To facilitate these efforts, he completed a post-graduate research fellowship in the Biological Sciences Division at the University of Chicago and clinical fellowships in cardiology and non-invasive cardiac imaging at Children’s Hospital Boston, the primary pediatric teaching affiliate of Harvard Medical School. His research in assessment of congenital heart disease by functional 4D MRI is currently funded by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute of the National Institutes of Health. He has served as a pre-med advisor to Wabash students for 10 years, both on and off campus. Josh has two brothers who also attended Wabash, Ben ’01 and Jeremy’04. He hopes to serve as an alumni representative to the Board of Trustees to further the unparalleled preparation of our students interested in medicine and health sciences.
