The Wabash College Theater Department will present its third theater production of the season, Terra Nova by Ted Tally. The play will run from February 24-27 in Ball Theater in the Fine Arts Center. The performances are scheduled for 8 p.m. each evening.
In 1911 British adventurer Robert Falcon Scott and Norwegian explorer Roald Amundsen raced to be the first men to reach the South Pole. Braving a brutal, ice choked and stormy sea to reach Antarctica, the two men’s expeditions set out across the most unforgiving climate on the earth. Drawn from letters and journals, Terra Nova captures the epic sweep of times and personalities when the last places on the earth had not been conquered by man. Ted Tally’s play is a stirring, vast, tragic, but ultimately life affirming portrait of the best and worst in our natures.
The cast of Terra Nova includes Spencer Elliott, Cody Johnson, Gus McKinney, Alex Moseman, Luke Robbins, Clay Zook, and Rebecca Janvrin. The production is co-directed by Anthony Morton ('10) and Dwight Watson, with scene design by James Gross, costume design by Andrea Bear, lighting design by Laura Glover, and sound design by James Phillips. Jordan Plohr serves as the stage manager and Cody Grady is the technical director.
Seating for Theater productions will be by general admission, though free tickets are required for Theater productions.
