Spreading the Word

When the Wabash chemistry department was looking for a way to enjoy science and reach out to the community, senior Adam Moser came up with the Chemistry Olympics—a five-part competition in which students from three area high schools compete for the “Silver Beaker” Award!

Nikki Perry and her group from Crawfordsville High School—students of Pru Phillips, wife of chemistry professor David Phillips—earned the beaker.

“It’s a fun time, a challenging one,” says Moser. “And since they’re high school juniors considering college, this a is really good time for them to visit a college chemistry department and meet chemistry majors."
