Off-Campus Studies!

This web site will facilitate participation in an approved off-campus study program. Whether you choose a program within the United States or in another country, Wabash College believes that this can be one of the most important  transformative educational experiences of your life.

FINAL DEADLINE IS DECEMBER 2nd at 4:00PM

This is the deadline for all students  to study off campus during either semester of 2012-13.

Those who have an interest in the International Studies Area of Concentration, please contact David Clapp.

PRIMARY DEADLINE  and  IMPORTANT further details:

For all semester study, you must complete by 4:00PM on November 18th  all of the following items: 

 November 18th, Friday:  ♦ Online application created.

                                              ♦ Select program.

                                              ♦ Select two faculty recommenders.

                                              ♦ Complete course approvals.

                                              ♦ Complete Graduation Plan with

                                              ♦ Advisor/Chair Approval Form.

1. If you plan to study in another country, apply for a passport.

2. Attend at least one required Call Out Informational Meeting.  

3. Discuss your potential plans with your Academic Advisor.  

Modern Language majors and minors: you must begin the process of program selection by FIRST discussing your plans with your current professor who will provide an evaluation of your level of proficiency to you and to David Clapp.  This information will be key to selecting the best possible program for you.  

All language classes taken abroad must be approved by the department chair!!

4. Choose an OCS Program.

5. Click for programs in Spanish, French, Germanor English.

6. Direct access to ISEP (International Student Exchange Program) universities.

7. Complete the entire on-line application -- including essay by December 2nd, 2011.

8. Complete the Course Approval Form - deadline November 18th, 2011.

9. Advisor/Department Chair Form - deadline November 18th, 2011.

10. Await decision of the Off-Campus Study Committee January of 2012.

11. If approved by the OCSC, apply to your program.

12.  Financial Matters: Costs, Financial Aid and outside scholarships.

Both of the above awards are competitive, and require prior approval to study off-campus. Please contact David Clapp in the International Studies Office for details regarding both awards and the application procedures
