FINAL DEADLINE IS NOVEMBER 30th at 4:00PM
for all students to study off campus during either semester of 2013-14
The International Studies Area of Concentration is similar to and fulfills the requirement for a minor.
The FIRST DEADLINE is November 16th at 4:00 PM. You must have completed
♦ Online application initiated - addresses, phones, etc.
♦ With your academic advisor, complete your Graduation Plan.
♦ Select two faculty recommenders who taught you in class.
♦ Select a program; for any changes, please contact Mr. Clapp.
♦ Online complete the REQUESTS for approval of 5-10 courses

Bring your questions about how to get started, the process, approvals, essays, recs., etc.
1. If you plan to study in another country, apply for a passport now!
Click here for the US Department of State.
2. Attend at least one Call Out / Informational Meeting.
3. Discuss your potential plans with your Academic Advisor.
Modern Language majors and minors: you must begin the process of program selection by FIRST discussing your plans with your current professor who will provide an evaluation of your level of proficiency to you and to David Clapp. This information will be key to selecting the best possible program for you. Gomez MUST approve your pln and courses.
All language classes taken abroad must be approved by Profesor Gomez !!
4. Search for an OCS Program.
5. Click for programs in Spanish, French, German, or English.
7. Complete the entire on-line application -- including essay by November 30, 2012.
8. Request the approval of courses taken off campus online - Deadline November 16th, 2012.
9. Await decision of the Off-Campus Study Committee January of 2013.
10. If approved by the OCSC, apply to your program.
11. Financial Matters: Costs, Financial Aid and outside scholarships.
