Wabash College seeks a part-time Visiting Assistant Professor to teach two courses per semester in French language, culture and literature. One year appointment to begin July 1, 2012. Courses include one section of French 101 in the fall of 2012 and one section of Introduction to French Literature in the spring of 2013 and two courses in the candidate's area of specialization. Francophone / postcolonial Africa or Caribbean preferred, others considered. Compensation is on a per course basis: the two course load per semester carries benefits including medical insurance, relocation support, and prorated professional travel funds. A Ph.D. in French is preferred, ABD considered. Teaching experience and familiarity with a small liberal arts environment preferred. Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology. Wabash College invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Biology position, beginning July 1, 2012, for the 2012-13 academic year, with the possibility of extending the appointment one additional year. Ph.D. is preferred but strong ABD candidates will be considered. The successful candidate will teach courses in General Ecology, Senior Seminar (a capstone seminar course for biology majors), and introductory biology. Wabash College, Crawfordsville, IN: One-year visiting position as Assistant Professor of Philosophy beginning July 1, 2012. Ph.D. preferred, A.B.D. will be considered. Candidates should have Ph.D. completed or very near completion by the fall of 2012. AOS: some area in the history of philosophy prior to the 19th century with ancient philosophy preferred. AOC: broad range of philosophical topics as appropriate to a small department, including broad competence in the history of philosophy. The teaching load is three courses per semester, six per year. Wabash seeks a Dean for College Advancement who can embrace ambitious goals and be a champion for this unique college, one of four remaining all-male liberal arts colleges in the United States. As Wabash’s senior development professional, the Dean for College Advancement will be responsible for creating and implementing an action plan to strengthen an already robust Advancement Office, while at the same time setting new levels of expectation for fundraising, alumni programs, and development operations. The ideal candidate will possess at least seven years of executive leadership and management of a successful multi-million dollar development program. A bachelor’s degree is required; an advanced degree is preferred.
