Deep Water Aerobics Class for anyone wanting to learn how to exercise in the water. Classes will be held in the deep end of the pool from 6:30-7:15 am MWF when classes are in session. Visiting Lecture Series by Sterling Carter, Wabash Class of 2007. He will give a talk on: "War Unbroken - Human Rights and the Economics of South Sudan's Civil War."
Sterling Carter is a graduate of Wabash College, class of 2007, with a double major in English and Theater. He holds a Masters degree in the Political Economy of Violence, Conflict, and Development from the University of London School of Oriental and African Studies. Sterling has extensive international work experience, including with the Peace Corps in Niger, Global Witness and Human Rights Watch in England, and Search for Common Ground in Nigeria. He’s also an accomplished journalist, with articles in Trebuchet Magazine and the Guardian UK online. He writes primarily about peace, conflict, and corruption in African countries. Sterling is currently working in South Sudan with the Nonviolent Peace Force as an International Protection Officer.
