Golf at Anderson U. Fall Invite: Anderson C.C., Anderson, IN
Sugar Creek Clean Up: Meet in front of Chapel, 8:30AM
Please consider joining The Friends of Sugar Creek (FSC) for its annual Fall Creek clean-up Saturday, September 13 from 8:30 to early afternoon. FSC members and the public are invited to help with the clean-up, then join together to celebrate Sugar Creek Day with (free) lunch and music at the historical Younts Wool Mill from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. Crawfordsville Mayor Todd Barton ’00 will be at the celebration and plans to declare September 13 as Sugar Creek Day, as Sugar Creek remains one of the region's most beautiful and valuable natural resources.
We will have vans waiting in front of the Chapel leaving at 8:30am, but please reply so I know how many are coming. Clean-up teams will be formed at a common location and depart for five different clean-up sites along Sugar Creek. Volunteers should wear old clothes and shoes. Friends of Sugar Creek will provide garbage bags and some work gloves and will arrange to haul away all trash collected.
All are invited to the post clean-up celebration on the banks of Sugar Creek at Younts Wool Mill. NutHatch, an acoustical music group performing Celtic and American folk music, will provide entertainment. The clean-up day and celebration help fulfill the mission of Friends of Sugar Creek to “protect, restore, and promote appreciation of Sugar Creek and its watershed.”
