 description: Atlanta-born writer Tayari Jones was in the fifth grade when 30 African American children from the neighborhoods near her home were murdered, and her award winning first novel, Leaving Atlanta, is set during that city’s infamous murders. In her latest novel, The Untelling, Jones paints a vivid, unforgettable portrait of a woman seeking to overcome the trauma of her past. In addition to reading from her work, Jones will discuss writing with Wabash students as a guest of the Will Hays, Jr. Visiting Writers Series.
