169th Commencement Ceremony to be Held May 13

Wabash College will hold its 169th Commencement on Sunday, May 13. Baccalaureate will begin at 11 a.m. in the Chapel and Commencement, which includes the awarding of two honorary degrees, will take place at 2:30 p.m. on the College mall.

Wabash-DePauw Ink Three-Year TV Deal

The Monon Bell Classic, one of America’s oldest and richest college football rivalries, will be nationally telecast on HDNet for the next three years. The three-year contract calls for HDNet, which has televised the 2003 and 2006 games, to broadcast the November 10, 2007 contest from Blackstock Stadium in Greencastle, as well as the 2008 and 2009 battles for the Bell.

Big Bash To Feature Art Auction

An added extra at the 2007 Big Bash will be an art auction of paintings depicting many prominent makers of Wabash history.  The painting above, for example, features Dr. Willis Johnson, code name "god" by many of his students. NCAA Grant to Boost Campus Peer Counseling Group
Two students’ dreams are now realized by an NCAA Choices Alcohol Education grant. The grant was awarded Wabash College and — coupled with matching campus funds — will be used for peer education about alcohol use.    more...

2007 Wabash Golf Outings

The Alumni and Parent Relations Office is working with alumni volunteers to organize Wabash golf outings this summer for alumni, parents, and friends of the College.  Several dates have been set and final details are being ironed out for some locations while other regions are still working to secure a date and course.

Watch for detailed postcards announcing each one in your area, but mark your calendar now and plan to participate in one or more of these fun events.

Dallas Group Welcomes Whites - Texas Style

Dallas, Tx. April 24, 2007. Despite severe thunderstorms and a couple of tornadoes, a great crowd turned out to welcome President and Mrs White to the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Local alumni leaders Ray LaDriere ’78 and Dan Susie ‘68 co-hosted the evening. Of course, local area leader Dutch Friese ’48 would have been at the forefront, but Dutch was off cruising the world on yet another fun trip!
