Freshmen Join Football Family at Camp

Returning from the Twin Lakes Camp, 50 freshman football players will prepare to join the rest of the Class of 2011 this weekend for orientation. Their three-day experience as new members of the Wabash football family has already made them part of the community.

Nationally Ranked Football Team Reports to Camp

The Wabash College football team — ranked seventh in Street & Smith’s, 16th in Lindy’s College Football Preview, and 22nd in D3Football.com's preseason polls — hopes veteran offensive and defensive units can lead the 2007 Little Giants to their fourth conference championship in six seasons. The Little Giants report for training camp Saturday.

St. Joe Valley Golfers Enjoy Hot Outing!

August 2, 2007. Temperatures in the upper 90s didn't keep the golfers away as the St. Joe Valley Association of Wabash Men sponsored another great outing for the Wabash and DePauw alumni in the greater South Bend area. After all the score cards were turned in, the winning team was Steve Hoffman '85, JD Morin, and Roland Morin '91.

Wabash Admissions Offers Training Program for Alumni

The Wabash Admissions team has been busy this summer providing recruiting training for alumni. Last week Chip Timmons '96 met with alumni in the Minneapolis area and Damon Howell '95 did the same in Washington, DC. More events are being planned - look for similar programs here in Indiana and in the Chicago area in the near future.

Timmons, McGuire, and Servies Win IAWM Mitchum Crock

The 2007 edition of the Mitchum Crock featured a very tough golf course (The Trophy Club) and absolutely beautiful weather. It was quite a contrast to the Monsoon of 2006! When it was all said and done, the 2007 Crock champions were Chip Timmons '96, Tim Servies '87 and Wabash student Pat McGuire '08.

Wabash Hosts Community Fair Tuesday

The Schroeder Center for Career Development at Wabash will sponsor its Second Annual Community Fair on August 28, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Knowling Fieldhouse on the Wabash campus. The purpose of the event is to connect Crawfordsville-area businesses, services and volunteer opportunities with the Wabash students, faculty and staff.

Sixty High School Seniors Complete OLAB Program

By late Saturday afternoon, the 60 rising high school seniors who spent the week at Wabash participating in the 2007 Opportunities to Learn About Business program had completed about a semester's worth of college business, marketing, speech, and advertising classes. All in just seven days.

Wayne Hoover '73 Rides Across Country to Honor Friend

Wayne Hoover arrived in Crawfordsville Sunday night and left Monday morning headed toward Indianapolis as part of his cross country trek to honor a friend. The stop at Wabash College was planned as one of the highlights of his trip. Hear him talk about the experience. He met Saturday with Wabash Magazine editor Steve Charles in Illinois.
