Colorado Welcomes Pat and Chris White

The Colorado Association of Wabash Men welcomed President Pat White and his wife Chris to the Denver area Tuesday evening, January 29, 2008. The group gathered for a reception and delicious dinner at Maggianos in Englewood. Pat White updated the group on the College and answered questions after dinner.

Krauss Touches on Science Education

Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar, Dr. Lawrence Krauss gave an evening lecture entitled, “Science, Non-Science, and Nonsense: From Aliens to Creationism” in which he discussed a variety of topics ranging from the status of science in American high schools to the interaction between religion and science.

Alumni Board-Sponsored LSAT "Boot Camp" Producing Results

It wasn't so much a problem as an opportunity to show our true colors. There was a general consensus on campus that our guys' LSAT scores weren't equal to what we knew was their true ability to attend and prosper at law school. After a brief period of investigation, the answer was pretty simple - send them off to "Boot Camp" and provide some targeted education on taking the LSAT!

Birds of Prey Captivate Packed Lecture
Learning about Bald Eagles and Barn Owls is one thing. Witnessing a live demonstration with the birds of prey a few feet away is a fowl of a different feather. The audience at Thursday night’s environmental education presentation in Baxter 101 experienced both scenarios.    more...

Wabash will host the Seventh Annual Celebration of Student Research, Scholarship, and Creative Work on Friday, January 25 from 1 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in Detchon Center. The entire community is encouraged to attend in celebration of the accomplishments of Wabash students.

Wabash alumnus Tim Haffner ’82, a partner in the Baker and Daniels law firm, has been named the new corporation counsel for the City of Fort Wayne. Newly elected Mayor Tom Henry made the appointment.
