Junior quarterback Matt Hudson believes this year’s Little Giants aren’t going to be complacent with finishing in the top eight in the country. He said this year’s team is committed to having another successful season, and that journey started Tuesday when the Little Giants had their first fall practice under first-year coach Erik Raeburn.

The weather was perfect for the 2008 edition of the Wabash Club of Chicago's annual golf outing.  This year's outing took place at the Willowcreek Golf Club in Westmont, Illinois, a suburb west of the Windy City.  

History Professor Rick Warner was to have been on a research sabbatical this fall. Then, late in the summer, he got a call from the president, and was later asked if he would step in to become the acting associate dean of students under new Dean of Students Mike Raters.

The first of a class of over 250 freshmen began reporting to the Wabash College campus over the weekend. Thirty soccer and 127 football players got the 2008-2009 school year underway by completing paperwork and testing for the upcoming fall sport season.

Wabash College's football team will hold its sixth-annual Youth Day Football Clinic next month. The free clinic will run from 5 to 6:30 p.m. Sept. 19 at Byron P. Hollett Little Giant Stadium.

Wabash College has been named America’s 12th best college by Forbes.com. The rankings include 569 undergraduate institutions. The 12th spot in the first-ever Forbes ranking of America’s Best Colleges puts Wabash ahead of not only all other Indiana institutions but also above all other “peer institutions” in the Midwest

This past weekend, the Wabash College senior guard Erik Shaver, along with 18 other Little Giants football teammates, moved a 147,000-plane Boeing 727 plane 20 feet in less than five seconds. The plane pull was just one of the events in the Special Olympics Indiana FedEx Plane Pull Challenge in Indianapolis.

Wabash College President Patrick E. White has announced that the College has received an $8.1 million grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. that will continue the work of the Wabash Center for Teaching and Learning in Theology and Religion through June 30, 2012.

All four of the 2008 Wabash College home football games leading up to the 115th Monon Bell Classic will be broadcast over the Internet. Hometown Television will provide live coverage using Teamline as the Internet distributor before providing a tape-delayed broadcast on cable outlets throughout the state of Indiana the following week.

Marine Major Jay Rice, a 1986 graduate of Wabash College, has been awarded the Bronze Star for his courage and leadership during combat operations in Afghanistan.

"They had a wonderful chemistry from the beginning," says Cathy Flink, wife of Steve Flink ’72, who is among 29 Phi Delts from 1971-74 who have gathered every 10 years at the invitation of Mike Dill ’71 at the home of Judy and Ed Pitkin ’71 in Indianapolis to celebrate their friendship.

The weather was hot and humid...but it was Indiana in July!  The 8th Annual Wabash/DePauw Golf Outing drew a good crowd treated to good golf and a very nice meal at Juday Creek Golf Course in Granger, Indiana.

Wabash junior Brock Graham's story of spending spring break in Botswana with 20 teammates has been told in the latest Wabash Magazine and on the web site. Now the story is garnering national attention as the cover feature for Champion, the quarterly publication from the NCAA.

The latest issue of Wabash Magazine is in mailboxes now! This edition of the College's journal celebrates small towns as seen from many different perspectives.

The Malcolm X Institute of Black Studies at Wabash College will host an alumni weekend on September 19-21, 2008.

The outing was smaller than in recent years but the competition was as keen as ever. The IAWM-sponsored 2008 Mitchum Crock moved this year to Heartland Crossing in Camby, Indiana.
