Homecoming Concert Presented Saturday Evening

Jim Shella, a long-time political reporter for WISH-TV in Indianapolis, spent Wednesday afternoon in Crawfordsville and interviewed five Wabash students about the presidential election. Shella did two live broadcasts from campus in both the 5 p.m. and 6 p.m. evening newscasts.

Class Agents Honored for Service

Wabash President Patrick White welcomed the College’s Class Agents to campus for their annual Class Agents Forum, saying the loyal alumni served as mirrors for the College and telescopes for their fellow alumni. “Without you as mirrors, Wabash cannot see itself or know itself,” the President said.

Little Giants Host 200 Kids at Youth Clinic

About 200 youngsters from all across Indiana took part in the 2008 Youth Football Clinic, which was hosted by the Little Giants on Friday evening before the home-opener against Chicago.

Wabash Announces Athletics Facilities Campaign

The improvements to Wabash’s intercollegiate, intramural, and recreational facilities begun seven years ago will be completed at the start of the 2009 school year. Wabash announced today a $6.2 million campaign to upgrade the College’s outdoor athletics facilities.

Schroeder Center Launches New Services for Alumni

Alumni who wish to make mid-career moves and those starting out their careers will benefit from an array of new services provided by the Schroeder Center for Career Development at Wabash. “Experience” is entirely free for alumni to use. The new services expand the successful Wabash Works program available to current Wabash students.

Lesson: Never Leave the Field Before Halftime

I had put my camera gear away and was headed for the Denison press box to get a cool drink at halftime when Matt Hudson led the Little Giants down the field in under a minute. His bomb to Kody Lemond with only seconds remaining was tipped high in the air by a defender, but Lemond stayed with it. His catch completely changed the momentum of the game.
