Six inches of snow in Crawfordsville didn't slow down Wabash students, as Campus Services had the walks cleared early, classes went on as usual, and we've got photos albums from the best snow we've had this year.

This monthly calendar is for the purpose of letting you know What’s Happening on the campus of Wabash College. Unless otherwise noted, all events are free and open to the public.

Wabash alumnus Kevin Chavous ’78, joined by nearly a dozen political and education leaders, spoke at a rally for the Educational Equality Project on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day calling for an end to “the last civil rights struggle in America.”

The Cincinnati Association of Wabash Men welcomed prospective students and their families to their annual Admissions dinner on January 22, 2009.  The group also welcomed back Wabash President Pat White and his wife Chris. 

One of the nation’s leading scholars in the field of leadership used common examples and newly-elected President Barack Obama as illustrations on successful leadership. Ron Heifetz emphasized throughout his lecture the differences between leadership and authority.

The Schroeder Center, in cooperation with the LEAD Program and the Indiana Secretary of State’s office, invites students to participate in “Financial Fitness,” a dinner and program designed to help you learn important strategies for personal finance.

The Malcolm X Institute of Black Studies spearheaded Wabash's celebration of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. Activities included a march across campus in honor of the Dr. King, a photo exhibit entitled "Black Crawfordsville: Then and Now," and a keynote speech by Dr. Cain Hope Felder.

Wabash alumni took the lead Monday in telling students and parents attending the Top Ten Scholarship Visit Day about the Wabash College experience. Students  ranked in the top ten of their high school class are invited to the special day with a guaranteed scholarship of $15,000 annually toward tuition.

Wabash College will host two celebrations on Thursday, honoring the 200th anniversary of both Abraham Lincoln's and Charles Darwin's birthday.

Dr. Ronald Heifetz will present a lecture, “Leadership, Authority and Citizenship,” at 8 p.m., Tuesday, January 20 in Salter Hall in the Fine Arts Center.

The Malcolm X Institute of Black Studies at Wabash College invites you to participate in a Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration on Monday, January 19.  

Wabash head basketball coach Mac Petty picked up his 500th career victory with a 75-58 win over the College of Wooster Saturday afternoon at Chadwick Court.

Trevor Fanning ’00 doesn’t seem controversial conducting a Roncalli High School choral group in a small room in the southside Indianapolis high school. He smiles, laughs, and cajoles the young people to embrace music as part of their everyday lives.

Judy S. Evans, beloved friend of Wabash College and wife of long-time Trustee Daniel F. Evans ’43, passed away on Tuesday, January 6 at the age of 83.
