Dear Alumni and Friends:

As Chairman of the 1832 Society, I want to thank you for your philanthropic leadership during the 2007-2008 giving year. (Please see the 1832 Society donor lists at the end of this letter.)

In 2007-2008, we celebrated the 175th anniversary of the founding of Wabash College. When reflecting on our storied history, we are reminded of the extraordinary generosity of many alumni and friends over the years. What is most impressive about our rich history is the strength we muster in a small number of 1832 Society members — like those listed in this Honor Roll — who demonstrate their leadership and loyalty by supporting Wabash students with gifts of $1,000 or more.

During the past year, members of the 1832 Society helped the College’s Annual Fund reach more than $3,104,200 in unrestricted
support of Wabash students — the biggest year ever for the Annual Fund!

Your annual 1832 Society gifts help provide current Wabash students with innovative teaching and learning experiences, life-changing international immersion learning programs, and first-rate career placement and graduate school preparation opportunities.

During the upcoming 2008-2009 fiscal year we will again work together to grow membership in the 1832 Society. I hope you will again answer our call to renew and increase your philanthropic leadership support of Wabash students. In doing so you will demonstrate your belief in the College’s mission of educating Wabash men to think critically, act responsibly, lead effectively, and live humanely.

Sincerely,

Kevin G. Clifford ’77
