At Wabash, students distinguish themselves in a proud academic and athletic tradition. Nearly 40 percent of Wabash students compete in varsity sports and 80 percent in one or more of 22 highly competitive intramural and 4 club sports.
A true showpiece of the Wabash College athletic program, the Allen Athletics and Recreation Center provides state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to Little Giant athletes as well as Wabash students, faculty, and staff.
Intramural Sports Outside of playing varsity sports at Wabash, there are plenty of opportunities to participate in 22 competitive intramural sports, all run by students. IM teams are typically organized by living unit.
Events include badminton, basketball, bowling, canoeing, cycling, cross country, golf, handball, horseshoes, indoor carnival, indoor track, pocket billiards, racquetball, soccer, softball, swimming, table tennis, track & field, volleyball, weightlifting, and wrestling.
Club Sports Club sports have gained popularity in recent years. They include rugby, crew, cricket, and lacrosse. Teams compete against schools from all over the Midwest and enjoy financial support from the Student Senate.
