The Application Process
Applicants should mail the following materials to Dr. Richard
F. Dallinger, Chair of the Graduate Fellowship Committee (see
below for address information). Please do not submit application
materials by e-mail.
ALL of the following materials
must be submitted in ONE PACKAGE which is postmarked
no later than December 12, 2008:
- 12 copies of the nomination form from
the research supervisor
- 12 copies of the completed application
form
- 12 photocopies of all undergraduate
and graduate transcripts. Please photoreduce your transcripts
if they are larger than 8.5"x11".
- One letter of recommendation from the
research supervisor, limited to TWO pages.
- Two additional letters of recommendation,
limited to TWO pages each, from persons familiar with
the applicant's graduate research.
- One original transcript from each of
your undergraduate and graduate institutions.
The first three items must be collated
into 12 sets, each of which contains (in order) a nomination form,
an application form and a photocopied set of transcripts. Please
paper-clip each of the 12 sets. Do not use any staples in the
12 sets - this will simplify processing your application.
The three letters of recommendation,
which should address the academic record, productivity and career
potential of the applicant, should be sealed in envelopes, signed
over the sealed flap by the recommender, and placed in the package
with the other application materials. Do not photocopy the letters
of recommendation.
The original transcripts should also
be placed in the package with the other application materials.

on the application form will not be sent to the judges.
