The Application Process

Applicants should mail the following materials to Dr. Richard F. Dallinger, Chair of the Graduate Fellowship Committee (see below for address information). Please do not submit application materials by e-mail.

ALL of the following materials must be submitted in ONE PACKAGE which is postmarked no later than December 12, 2008:

The first three items must be collated into 12 sets, each of which contains (in order) a nomination form, an application form and a photocopied set of transcripts. Please paper-clip each of the 12 sets. Do not use any staples in the 12 sets - this will simplify processing your application.

The three letters of recommendation, which should address the academic record, productivity and career potential of the applicant, should be sealed in envelopes, signed over the sealed flap by the recommender, and placed in the package with the other application materials. Do not photocopy the letters of recommendation.

The original transcripts should also be placed in the package with the other application materials.

ONLY COMPLETE APPLICATION FORMS, AS DESCRIBED, WILL BE ACCEPTED!!

Applicants may obtain the necessary application forms by:

To assist the Committee in a fair and accurate evaluation, it is important that all applications have a similar format and the same kinds of information. Applicants should use the space on the application form (or a copy of the form) and adhere scrupulously to page limit guidelines. Submitted information which is not requested on the application form will not be sent to the judges.

Announcement of the awards to Fellowship recipients will be made in April 2009.
