Seth on...

Choosing his major - I enjoy the classes and find them fascinating, though more of the theoretical/literature side than the statistics. I’m actually double-majoring in English and Psychology, so psychology classes allow me to maintain the more cerebral side of my education, while still having the opportunity to advance my own personal ideas and theories.

The Psychology Department faculty - In addition to the affability and approachability demonstrated by the majority of Wabash professors, I really appreciate the ability of professor in the psychology department to remember that not everyone is a graduate school graduate or even a psychology major. The ability to poke occasional fun at APA style or demonstrate awareness that not every statistical process seems equally delightful to students who have to perform them, helps remind students that psychologists are just as human as the rest of us. For me, at least, it has also proven to be a reassurance that not every psychology major needs to have the exact same mindset to excel in the discipline. Periodically, it helps to be reminded of that.
