Art Exhibit — The Paintings of Samuel Bak, Eric Dean Gallery, Fine Arts Center. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The exhibit continues through April 10.
Born in the midst of World War II, Samuel Bak was sent, along with his family, to a ghetto in his hometown of Vilna, Poland after the German occupation. The ghetto was transformed into a labor camp, and only Bak and his mother survived to see the end of the war. The paintings of Samuel Bak express his experience of destruction and dehumanization during the War. The Pucker Gallery in Boston, MA brings the collection of Bak’s paintings to Wabash College.

Come join the Wabash College Glee Club's seniors for a very special program. The concert will depart from their normal perormances to present a program of small group numbers, duos, and solos woven together to narrate the seniors four years singing with the Glee Club. Free and open to the public.

Graduating senior art majors display their work, including painters, Jake Hutson, Stephen Mosier, Joel Patterson, and Mark Turpin; photographer Dan Sutton; and ceramics sculptor Nick Roudebush. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Art Exhibit — The Wanamaker Collection, Images of Native Americans, Eric Dean Gallery, thru May 19.
In 1908, Rodman Wanamaker, the son of a wealthy store-owner, supported a series of photographic expeditions to record the Native American population. Joseph K. Dixon led the journey with the intent of recording the "vanishing race" before they completely disappeared, but he soon realized that Native Americans were not vanishing, but evolving. After witnessing the treatment of Native Americans and the poor condition of the reservations, Dixon became an advocate for the rights. Images of Native Americans is a traveling exhibition of the Wanamaker Collection of Native American Photographs from the Mathers Museum of World Cultures at Indiana University. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

8 p.m., Wabash Theater presentation of The Importance of Being Earnest, Ball Theater, Fine Arts Center (Other performances will be given on April 23, 24, & 25)
Set in the airless drawing rooms of turn-of-the century England, Earnest is a comedic assault upon a moralizing, prudish Victorian society. Jack and Algernon, both young gentlemen of quality, have created alternate identities for themselves in order to escape social constraints. In doing so, they set in motion a sequence of misunderstandings that illuminate the hierarchies and hypocrisies of modern life, then and now. A bouquet of cleverness, irony, and absurdity, this "trivial comedy for serious people" is as Wilde’s contemporary Max Beerbohm had it, "beautiful nonsense."

In celebration of the arts at Wabash, admission to all events on this year’s Visiting Artists Series and Theater productions are FREE. However, you must reserve your FREE tickets at the Fine Arts Box Office before attending Visiting Artists Series and Theater productions.

Tickets are available from the Fine Arts Box Office Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon and 1:30 to 4 p.m. The Box Office will open 90 minutes before curtain time for theater and VAS events.
