Choosing his major - The main reason I chose to become a political scientist was that when I read a text, watched a video, participated in a discussion or any other activity, I was always analyzing the information and arguments from a political point of view. By being a political science major, it not only excites my academic enjoyments, but as a department, it offers courses that I am both somewhat familiar with, and also those that I am not as familiar. All of this allows me to expand the knowledge of the subject that I truly love, while at the same time, always having a familiar connection to those areas that always excite me. The Political Science Department faculty - I like the political science faculty not only for their expertise on the subject areas (I believe all have their PhDs), but also the extent to which teacher matters to each of them. This focus on the importance of conveying information is not only found in the classroom, with generally engaging lectures and discussions, but also through their commitment to have open office doors. Their doors aren’t open just so we can ask questions or to supplement the classroom discussions, but to also talk with students about college life and future plans.
