Center Hall

North of Baxter Hall is CENTER HALL, so named for its location on campus. It was built in 1857 and continues to be central to the life of the campus. Center Hall now contains the offices of the President, Deans and Registrar, Off Campus study, as well as the Business Offices and the academic departments of English, religion, and philosophy. On the east side of the building is a plaque honoring Wabash men who served in the Civil War, including the author General Lew Wallace, member of the Wabash College Class of 1840, who is best known for his epic novel Ben Hur.
