Pre-Law Program
THE PROGRAM
Generally, over 10 percent of students graduating from Wabash go on to law school. Although competition for law school is rigorous, 95 percent of the College’s applicants have been accepted at law schools in past few years. “Shortly stated,” advises the Association of American Law Schools describing its concept of pre-law preparation, “what the law schools seek in their entering students is not accomplishment in mere memorization but accomplishment in understanding, the capacity to think for themselves and the ability to express their thoughts with clarity and force.” Wabash does not teach students law; instead, it offers education for comprehension and expression in words, critical understanding of human institutions and values and creative and disciplined modes of thinking.

This one is about friendship. It’s not about politics, though the two friends are passionately political. This is a story about the Wabash tradition of building and sustaining lifelong relationships—friendships based on trust and honesty that endure over time.
